Was Old Roblox Better? (Part 2: What is Roblox even all about?)

So, what is Roblox all about? What is it's purpose? Has it even changed at all?

What is Roblox all about?

This question is hard to answer, but I believe it's socializing. Since very early on, Roblox has helped lots of people socialize with others. Roblox is very good for socializing. I myself have chatted with people for hours on end and made some friends.

What is it's purpose?

This is also hard to answer, depending on who you ask, they might give you a different answer. But I believe it's creativity. Roblox actively promotes creativity and rewards you for it. You make some clothing, people buy your clothing. You make an interesting game, people play your game. You get rewarded for creativity on Roblox.

What hasn't changed?

There are two main ends to the end-user Roblox experience, the Player and the Dev. It's been like that since the start, every game had a Dev, and some of those games had Players. Without the Players, there would be nobody to play what the Dev has created. Without the Devs there would be nothing for the Players to play. Both ends are essential to making Roblox complete.

What has changed?

Roblox used to be all about Lego building, gradually over the years it's become more of a development platform. It's no longer a Lego-like game. But that's not a bad thing, it's a completely different game in several aspects. Appreciate what you have, don't hate it. It seems every time Roblox releases an update to make their platform go further away from a Lego game, people get really mad. May I ask why? Roblox isn't trying to be the same thing anymore, I think it would be best that we accept what is happening and move on, rather than complaining about updates, some of which don't directly affect the end user!
